This 4" black triple weighted ebonized set of chessmen are a challenge for any competitor at this price point! Stunning carving, great weighting and superb finishing.

The 4" King has a well proportioned body with a 1 3/4" bevelled base weighing 2.9 ounces with green felt pads. Bevelling the base acurately is one turning operation many other suppliers omit to cut cost.

The queens coronets have nicely pointed pinnacles and the ball on the head is round not flattened like a silicone gel implant!

The knight is particularly pleasing with carved teeth and well cut even regular pointed mane in a very familiar and loved traditional Staunton pattern.

The bishop has a sharp and cleanly cut miter and even the pawns exude real quality with their perfect ball shaped heads and turned wings.
