The business was founded by Steve Livingstone in 2001 and has grown steadily over the years to becoming a trusted source of quality chess sets with over 9000 customers worldwide.

TheChessPiece's newly opened UK office has it's own local warehouse which is able to offer local support and fast direct shipping within Europe inclusive of all taxes and duties. The UK business is managed by Michael Dakin and is based in Buckden, Cambridgeshire, sixty miles north of London.
